Commissioning
By commissioning music—paying composers to write a new piece for a specific purpose or event—individuals or organizations become active participants in the creation of a legacy of music for the future. Anyone can commission new works. It doesn’t have to be an artistic director or a well-established performer—it can be anyone who is motivated to enrich the world with a new piece of music.
There are so many reasons to commission a new work: weddings, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, retirement, you name it! Music can also be commissioned to honor someone's life or work in a community. Music can be commissioned simply to bring new art into the world. The cost of commissioning depends on the project, so please reach out if you have an idea you'd love to see realized. My prices are very flexible, and I'd be happy to help your project come to life!
Arranging
Arranging projects involve taking an existing work - perhaps something you've written for singer and guitar, or a favorite hymn - and giving it a new life, a new perspective, a new voice. I have worked on many arranging projects, and I'd be happy to work with you on your project! Typically for arranging projects, we'll agree on a price specific to your project. Let's get in touch!
